The following policy refers to the academic eligibility of students participating in athletics. The policy is:
Any student who does not meet this minimum requirement will be ineligible to practice for or participate in any interscholastic athletic event during the next grading period. Medical ExaminationsA medical examination is a prerequisite for participation in athletics. It is necessary to protect the school as well as the student from unpleasant possibilities. The examination is additional proof of parent/guardian approval for participation and a safety precaution against an unknown or private condition which may harm the student. A current Ohio High School Athletic Association Medical and Parent/Guardian consent form is required for each interscholastic team member before he/she may participate in conditioning, practices, or an interscholastic contest. Each coach is responsible for seeing that this regulation is carried out. Physical forms are to be checked carefully by the coach for signature of doctor, parent/guardian, and athlete and then presented to the Athletic Director for filing in a safe place. 2007-2008 Athletic Participation Fees
To encourage participation in more than one sport and to ease the financial demands of families with more than one athlete, THE MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION FEE PER FAMILY WILL NOT EXCEED $600.00. * HOCKEY IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE FAMILY PARTICIPATION FEE DISCOUNT. EVERY HOCKEY PLAYER MUST PAY $800.00. Parents are asked to become actively involved in the Athletic Boosters by being a part of the sport group in which their son/daughter participates. |
